"All I remember, everyone just turned in my direction and looked at me. And I thought, oh my goodness, I'm going to kill myself here."
I've just released a really special episode of 'Your Big Career Move'. I recently had the privilege of chatting to Dr Leke Asong about his extraordinary career.
In my book 'Ready to quit your job?' I talk about multi-hyphenates. They are people who have more than one passion/interest that they want to pursue. Leke is the perfect example of someone who was burnt out from his job, and decided that taking a less conventional career route would work better for him.
We talked about the pressures of being a GP and how the long hours and pressure of working for the NHS led to a car accident, which then became a catalyst to him making BIG career changes. He now spends his time working as a locum GP, consulting privately as the 'Gut Health Medic', writing books and inventing things.
I really hope you enjoy it!A plea....My little podcast has been going for 2 years now. I really love being able to share stories of ordinary people who have made extraordinary career changes. The podcast has been growing organically because of people like YOU, so if you do enjoy this, or any other episode, please may I ask you to share it with someone who you think might also enjoy it, and subscribe wherever you listen/watch. I'd be super grateful!
